Once in a while I get tired of big Californian Cabernet's so I hunt down an alternative. When I'm on the prowl I usually end up at The Wine Library because they have such a great selection and I'm a Vayniack.

After searching I found a Montepulciano wine from Italy made from the Sangiovese grape. This really was a nice Italian red wine, not as complex as the Califonia Cabs that I normally drink. It had a great garnet color and fruity bouquet. Very easy to drink with soft tannins. Medium to full bodied. I let the wine breathe about 1hr before serving.Very fruity and jammy. Yummy. I'll buy this one again. Good price as well.

Great with pasta or meat.
