Liberty School Cabernet comes from the Paso Robles area of California and is great for everyday drinking. At less than $15/bottle it's a real steal!

The Liberty School winery is located in the Paso Robles area of Napa Valley and is owned by the Hope family. Not a well known winery but does produce some surprises. Upon opening I was quite surprised by the bouquet. Hints of vanilla and ripe fruit. On the buds it was some-what oaked but not over- powering. Very fruit forward with a medium finish. Not a very big cab by the least but quite thin to medium in structure. After sitting in the glass for about one hour the wine opened up even more and was extremely pleasant with my chicken. I would even say this is a drinking wine that goes well without food, though with food it is even better and at less than $15/bottle it's a great everyday drinking Cab. The point I'm making is if you like your Cabs and don't want to spend a hefty sum, buy this bottle, especially if you can get it for less than $15.
Would I buy this again?
Definitley at less than $15/bottle

Tasting notes:(borrowed) "Here we have a nice California cab which the LCBO has dubbed as a ‘Vintages Essential’. Best of all, this bottle has an affordable price tag.
Overall this wine is a winner. It strikes a nice balance between fruit, acidity and tannins. The wine is quite dry, but works surprisingly well on it’s own.
Tip: saying it comes from ‘Paso Robles’ is catchy"
