Nice small premium winery

Nestled deep in St. Helena lies St. Clement Vineyards, a small winery which may not be well known but certainly packs a punch.

I couldn't wait to start drinking the wine as I anticiapated much greatness. I shared the bottle with my family at a cute little Cuban restaurant in North Jersey.  Well here it goes: Basically I just popped and poured this baby. In the glass it was typical Napa Valley Cab, deep garnet, no suprises there. On the nose it was dark fruit, choclate and tobacco. No dissapoinment there as well. The tannins were weak yet smooth, with a nice medium finish. As the evening wore on the wine only got better, as so did my meal of Cuban chicken.

All in all a good bottle of Cabernet, in which I will definitley see if I can get my hands on some more.  I've herad through the garpevine that St. Clement has a small cult following and I'm beginning to see why. It's a small vineyard that produces wine in small batches. The Cabernet was an excellent value considering the amount of enjoyment I got from it.

Rating 3/4 grapes

Would I buy this baby again?  You bet. At < $30/bottle I believe its good value. A great QPR in my opinion

Country: USA, California, Napa Valley

Grape: Cabernet Sauvignon
