In Pinot We Trust... The 2007 Vintage From California

For those of you who do not want to rush out to buy the Sept. edition of Wine Spectator, here's a little synopsis of the 2007 Pinot Noirs from California:

The 2004, 2005 and to a lesser extent 2006 vintages were good, but watch out for the 2007. The 2007 offers outstanding wines. Everywhere you go from Santa Barbara County to Anderson Valley, the 2007 vintage is outstanding. With this  said the price of some of these PInot Noirs are not cheap due to wine's lushness and scarcity. Even new comers to the Pinot world have turned out great Pinot Noir. The vintage brings seductive delicacy, finesse and complexity in aromas and flavors. Easy to drink and approachable. Sonoma County long known for its production of great Pinot is right up there in the ratings yet there are many new comers to the PInot world that are worth exploring. And while finding a good PInot for under $25 has always been a challange  Castle Rock and Kirkland produce some killer value PInot Noir. Yet if you have deep pockets then there are plenty of lush wines to choose from.

Below is a sampling of some great Pinot Noir from the 2007 vintage. I'm sure I'll make a bottle shopping trip this weekend.

Re: California Pinot Noir Ratings

Quite often when you like some blog article, you are really glad to find links "related articles" and "learn more". But unfortunatelly even more often we fail to find such links, for me personally I have found a good way out - I copy the title of the article, place it into the search engine (the search will be more effective if you use www.pdfqueen.com special pdf search engines on books and articles) and get tones of material I am interested in.
