Wow what a wine! A real Napa heavy weight. I was anticipating greatness and this wine did not disappoint!

I set the stage and allowed  the Far Niente breathe about 2 hrs before pouring and could smell the bouquet as I poured. Deep fruit, tobbacco, chocolate, you name it ,it was there! Tannins were smooth and the finish was amazingly long. This wine I would imagine would only get better with age but was very drinkable now.  The wine has a small amount of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot to round out the smoothness.

One thing I would recommend. Drink this wine only with guests that can appreciate good Napa Cab. It's not a cheap bottle, about $110/bottle, but if you need to impress, this is the one bottle that might do it for you. A real heavy weight. Typical good Napa Cab.

Would I buy this again? For a special occassion
