Long Island wineries have a long history of being undiscovered, yet tucked away on the East Coast of New York, Long Island wineries produce some wonderful gems, almost like diamonds.  It has been said by many that Long Island is one of the most exciting wine producing regions ; a coastal climate with serene beauty. The first winery was established in 1973. Currently there are three AVA’s with over 50 wineries established as of today.

The most popular red grape varietals include Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. The most popular white grape varietals include Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling.
